Aragats south summit today: dry trail, small snow patches on the last 300 m of the north side only. No spikes needed. Wind picked up after 11:00, take a shell.
Two shepherd dogs at the pasture around km 6 on the Smbataberd ridge, very loud but they kept their distance once we stopped and waited for the shepherd. Do not run, do not throw stones.
First autumn colours in Dilijan! The beech forest above Parz Lake is turning. Went early, had the lake to ourselves until 10.
Garni gorge with kids: park at the lower entrance, Symphony of Stones first while they are fresh, picnic at the river, cable bridge on the way back. Two hours with a five year old.
Lastiver caves: is the path from the Ijevan side passable after rain, or better from Yenokavan?
Tested the rental poles from the Dilijan shop: fine for a day, tips wear fast on rock. Weekend hikers should buy their own. 1,500 AMD per pair.
