Terms of use
Last updated: October 23, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Digital Brains LLC, who publishes Sarerin: the app, its server at app.sarerin.com and the website sarerin.com. By creating an account or using Sarerin you accept them. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy. Privacy policy
Your safety comes first
Hiking in the mountains has real risks: weather changes fast, trails change, and phones lose signal and battery. You are responsible for your own decisions and safety on the trail.
- Sarerin is not a rescue service. In an emergency, call 112 first.
- Trail descriptions, maps, times, weather forecasts, first-aid cards and members' tips can be wrong or out of date. Use them as help, together with your own judgement.
- An SOS or a missed check-in alerts the Sarerin team by e-mail. We do our best to act on it, but we cannot promise that anyone will see it in time or be able to help.
Your account
Give your real name and an e-mail address you use, keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. One account is for one person. If you are under 18, use Sarerin only with the permission of a parent or guardian.
Community rules
Sarerin is for people who love the mountains. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members. Do not post, send or share anything that:
- harasses, threatens, bullies or insults anyone, or attacks people for who they are;
- is sexual, violent, hateful or otherwise objectionable;
- shares someone else's private information or photos without their permission;
- is spam, an advertisement nobody asked for, a scam, or pretends to be someone else;
- is illegal, or encourages dangerous or illegal behaviour on the trail.
You can report content and members that break these rules, and block a member so that the two of you no longer see each other. Our moderators review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content and suspend or close the accounts of members who break these rules, without notice when it is serious.
What you share
What you post stays yours. By sharing it on Sarerin, you allow us to store it and show it in the app and on the website to the people you chose, for as long as it is on Sarerin. Share only what you have the right to share.
Group hikes and guides
Group hikes are organised by members, not by Sarerin. The host and the people who join are responsible for the hike. A verified guide is a member whose guide certificate we checked; a guided hike is an agreement between you and the guide.
Sarerin Pro
Some features are part of Sarerin Pro. When Pro is offered as a subscription in the app, you buy it through the App Store or Google Play, under their terms: you manage or cancel it in your store account, and the store handles payments and refunds.
The service
We work to keep Sarerin running and correct, but we provide it as it is and cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors. As far as the law allows, Digital Brains LLC is not liable for losses that come from using Sarerin or from relying on its information.
You can stop using Sarerin and delete your account at any time, in the app or on the web. Delete your account
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms, we update this page and its date. If a change matters, we also tell you in the app or by e-mail.
